The Commission Process
Back to the Future Upcycled will restore and refinish furniture that is already owned, can source specific pieces according to a client’s requirements or offer a choice of vintage blanks from stock.
Consultation: After contact is made, we organise a free initial consultation conducted via a telephone, online video or email. If the client already owns the piece to be upcycled, we ask them to email full details including:
photographs of the item
preferred colours, finishes, design inspirations
photograph of where the item will sit
details of any repairs they consider are required
To ensure a high standard of finish. we use paint produced by Little Green (www.littlegreene.com) however we are happy to discuss alternative requirements although this may incur an additional charge.
We can provide mood boards as well as samples of the paint and paper to be used in the upcycling process before the commission begins, for a small additional fee.
Commissions require a 50% deposit before work is commenced, with the balance being due upon completion, prior to delivery or collection.
The cost of collection and delivering the finished item to the client is included in the overall price, however if the client wishes to deliver and/or collect the finished piece themselves and lets us know at the outset, we will make an appropriate adjustment to the price.
